Zionism in Shackles
This sculpture is a tribute to the Zionist Movement that set the foundation for the creation of a safe haven for Holocaust survivors, who fought for the dream of a land where they could live free of persecution and prejudice.
The shackles binding the 2.4 meter 700 kilo bronze sculpture represent the uninhibited and emboldened tirades of anti-Semites, who are attempting to besmirch Zionists achievements, and impose their repugnant persuasion to demean and eradicate a movement, a people, a country. Their views are embraced by the United Nations, who attempted to censor the Israeli Mission exhibitions from displaying any mention of Zionism.
No other sovereign state suffers the scrutiny and biased criticism then the State of Israel, which was the fruit of centuries of suffering of the Jewish people culminating with its establishment at 4 am on May 14, 1948.
